The White Buffalo First Nations Business Development Cooperative
The White Buffalo is a symbol of abundance and manifestation of great changes in our lives, for our families and for our communities. The birth of a sacred White Buffalo is a sign of hope and an indication of good times to come. The lesson learned that day is that one does not have to struggle to survive if the right action is joined by the right prayer.
The purpose of our Cooperative Association is to provide support and services to aid in the startup development of our member’s business concepts and to provide ongoing support to them, as well as to encourage and support new businesses that share our values. As we members have all required support to create our business dreams, we strive to support others too along their journey as they seek to create a resource for themselves and their families. Together, our success becomes the success of our community and of our Province.
Our support services include business plan development, legal, marketing and promotion as we develop and coordinate distribution networks to sell the crafts, artisan, and spiritual products of our members, to promote tourism and camping services, as well as transportation, manufacturing, fabrication, and recycling businesses. We also assist our members in the purchase of supplies and raw materials they may require producing their products and services; and the activities to support them as are necessary and desirable for these purposes.
We believe in that all things are blessed by the Creator and that together, with good hearts and positive outlook we can shape our lives and the world we live in toward spiritual and physical health. We believe that an openness to healing and kindness can nurture respect for all, and that is how we live our lives.
Our Cooperative believes in inclusivity and fairness in our business practices, and we support and adhere to fair practice as defined by the World Fair Trade Organization – Home of Fair-Trade Enterprises.
